Life Insurance Tips
I often receive emails with questions concerning life insurance.
Some are quite thought provoking and I believe the answers
to be quite useful. I've set up this Tips page for you to
visit or to shaare with your friendds. Please place this
page in your favorites folder and come back often, you'll
be glad you did.
Life Insurance for Kids
There is absolutely no reason to buy a life insurance policy
for children. Insure only wage earners (including, stay-home
moms.)
Insurance Companies
When searching for life insurance, make sure you do your
homework first. Not all insurance companies are created
equal. Make sure the company you choose is highly rated
with rating of a B+ or better. Smaller, low rated life insurance
companies are not staying in business.
Keep Your Life Insurance on Ice
Keeping your life insurance policies in an easily accessible
safe place is a must. It may surprise you that storing your
life insurance polices in a safe-deposit box is the worst
place to store your will and life insurance policy. It is
not unusual for a safe-deposit box to be sealed at the time
of death, making it very difficult for survivors. Instead
keep them in a fireproof safe. An alternative place to store
life insurance is in the freezer. Yes your policy is safe
in cold storage. Mary Hunt suggests that "wrap them
in plastic and put them in a sealed container in the freezer."
They will be easily accessible and protected in case of
fire.
